Over the past few weeks we haven't witnessed a lot of art integration but some. They do go to music a couple of days a week, but our teacher let us know the first day there wasn't much room and she wanted us to say in the room. So we didn't get to witness exactly what they did in singing.
After speciality the students would often come in singing or dance. You could tell they loved bening there! They were learning some songs about turkeys and doing the chicken dance. I had a few students tell me about it. I did find it interesting that the teacher didn't go with them all the time, but her aid did. Our teacher didn't use music in her class hardly at all. A couple of times she would put on classical music while the students were journaling but not every time.
In the future I hope to be consistent with using music in my class. I hope to expose my students to more music than just what they learn in speciality.
